Why Detroit Will Be Fine Next Year

Year after year, the detroit red wings always manage to find a way to win enough games to get into the playoffs. This year should be no different. I see the people and prospects the wings have and I see no reason why they wont be winning another stanley cup in the next 1-4 years. With the names like Tomas Tatar, Teemu Pulkkinen, Landon Ferraro, Riley Shaaen, Tomas Jurco, Martin Frk, and thats just the forwards not already playing for them. Some defence soon to emerge are Jakub Kindl, Brendan Smith, and even Xavier Oullet. Goaltending is not an issue either; Petr Mrazek put on a show for Czech Republic at the World Juniors last year, and they also have guys like Jordan Pearce and Thomas Mccollum.
Detroit is also rumored to be going after the guys like Ryan Suter, Zach Parise, Jaromir Jagr, Justin Shultz, and even Rick Nash's name has came into mention a few times. All these players are being targeted by Detroit's approx. $20 Million cap space. With a team that involves the names of Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, Kronwall, Filpulla, and Howard all under contract? Detroit has the potential to return to being the powerhouse team in the west if they can add a few players to the mix. I see no reason why the fourth line on the red wings woulnt be filled with 3rd or even 2nd liners on some teams.
Me personally, I think that the wings will lose Parise to a team like Minesota or even the Rangers. But, i think the Red Wings will have no problem locking up Suter to a contract and maybe even Justin Schultz. Also, why wouldnt guy like Jagr who sees the potential of this team who had an off-season regarding goals, go there to play with guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg, and ultimatly finish his career on hopefully a high note.
Detroit is in a position they havnt been in for years with 20 million cap space and a General Manager in Ken Holland who will make all the right moves to improve this team. I see this off season in Detroit could be one talked about for years and years to come. Big things are about to happen to this classy orginization who has made all the right moves.
