Kudos to George Malik for getting these out http://themalikreport.com...ospect-tournament-roster/

Although I’ve let it be known that I think there is too much for these prospects in terms of tourney/camp/preseason, I am excited about the actual tournament. Looking at the lineup I see Zadina, Hirose, Veleno, and Kuffner and am encouraged. These guys all got a bit of NHL action and need to be noticeable at this tournament. On Defense I’m really interested to see Seider and Lindstrom. I’m hoping hometown kid Regula can make an impression. All three of these guys are big right shot defense. Seider and Lindstrom and supposed to be offensive minded and good skaters. We are desperate for someone like that to pan out.

In fact, 6 of 8 defensemen listed are right shot. All 8 are 6’1” or taller. It’s exciting to see big guys on the ice, but they better gap up and skate well. The league has no problem getting smaller and faster (if I could clone Brian Rafalski...) so the big guys have to work harder.

We’ll see how it pans out. Some games are being streamed for free, which is awesome. Traverse City is amazing if you can get there. Soon, we’ll be watching hockey. That is fantastic news.

I am hoping that Zadina and Veleno make such a big impression at the prospect tournament and training camp that they stay on the big club.

I saw the first prospect tournament game very impressed with Seider, Veleno, and Zadina. The amount of minutes logged by Seider was incredible. If he doesn't make it to the big club he will start in Grand Rapids.
