5 pause worthy moments of the 2020 NHL Offseason

Stud of a year for movement. A lot of excitement for tons of teams. I can't tell you how many times I full on stopped what I was doing to tune in to what was happening. Here are a few of them:
1) THE HABS EXTENDING JOSH ANDERSON FOR A BAZILLION YEARS DESPITE NOT PLAYING A GAME. It's the sign of a risk taker to give a long term deal to a player who had a good year with you...But 7 to a guy who hasn't played a game with you... That may be the sign of a gambling addiction. Sure, Josh Andersson could end up being a great signing. One of those deals that look genius down the road. Or...it could end up a total disaster. One of those deals you pay for a long time down the road. I'll give Bergevin this; you are bold sir.
2) TOEWS GOING TO COLORADO FOR TWO 2ND ROUND PICKS. Two second round picks is nothing to sneeze at. I can't sit here and say the Islanders were fleeced; they got something at least. They didn't have to pay for the pleasure of someone helping their cap situation. That being said, they still lost a 2nd pairing defenseman for essentially potentials. I'm not sure what stands out more here. The Islanders actually getting a return, or the fact Toews was in the trade to begin with.
3)TAYLOR HALL A SABRE Honestly, I like the signing for both player and team. A chance for each to hit their goals. BUT WHO SAW IT COMING?!?
4)THE OTTAWA SENATORS ENTIRE OFF SEASON **SLOW CLAP** Well done Ottawa Senators. Like really, well done. You have come from the ultimate dumpster fire of a team, to a soon-to-be contender. Yes, it is absurdly hard, like really really hard to mess up all those picks; but its possible.
But you didn't! So congratulations! Yeah, your ownership is still a nightmare, but everything else is looking pretty good.
-Your GM has proven to be fairly savvy
-A great core has been built
-There is a coach who an actual plan and a system talent to fill it
-A two time cup winning goalie.
What's not to like about this team?
5)TYLER JOHNSON BEING PUT ON WAIVERS Johnson takes a dunking as Tampa hopes to get out from under his contract. No one is helping Tampa Bay out here. He cleared waivers, leaving Tampa as strapped as ever. I have to admire the rival GM's here. No one bit. They are going to make Tampa pay for every penny taken. It's ruthless. I love it!

Josh Anderson could look great, or look like Clarkson v2.0 in a couple years. Went with Clarkson cuz his was injury based. Could say Lucic 2.0, but I doubt Anderson turns into a robot designed for the sole purpose of not knowing what a hockey is

I honestly hope he works out there. Big risk, big reward if he pans out. On paper, he's what the Habs need. Having a soft spot for Les Canadiens (they were my fave team until moving here in Edmonton in 93) I realllllllly hope he flourishes for you guys
