Today the Buffalo Sabres have offically announced they are playing a game @ "THE RALPH". But dont get all worked up just yet. This game is at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. on September 24th, vs The Minnesota Wild. The game is a homecoming of sorts for Drew Stafford. Drew played his college puck @ "THE RALPH" for the Fighting Sioux.

Below is the OFFICIAL PRE- SEASON SCHEDULE for the upcoming season:

Friday, September 21 Buffalo vs. Columbus, 7:00 p.m. (HSBC Arena)

Not to worry, its happening. Personally I hope they go in February, as we played golf last year on New Year's Day. Not to mention the NHL is foolish to put a game on what is traditionally one of the greatest college football days of the year. However, if this is the start of a new tradition, I'm not complaining.

I have a photo of the Ralph with hockey boards set up in the middle of the field. Got it from a buddy that works at the Ralph.
