Just some news that some may find interesting, especially goaltenders. TPS has been bought out, so prepare to see goaltenders who currently wear their equipment switch to other brands. There has been quite a bidding war going on for some of the soon-to-be-former TPS goalies, with Vaughn recently signing Josh Harding to a contract, and extending the current Vaughn wearer Steve Masons contract for three more seasons.

Henrik Lundqvists party was asking for too much money, so Vaughn has backed out of a deal with him. He is expected to sign with CCM sometime soon. Lundqvist would have liked to have signed with Vaughn, seeing as he wore their equipment back in Europe, but I guess money talks.

Roloson in Edmonton is likely switching to Vaughn as well, so watch for the equipment changes in the new year.

Ya I work in the industry and its a mess...Next year NikeBauer will cease to exist going back to Bauer, who then in turn bought out Mission-Itech. Eagle got bought out by Vaughn, CCM got bought out by Reebok, who was bought out by adidas. I'm sure I am missing more

It seems as if the only company who stays strong has been Easton. I dont think they have ever been bought out, sold, etc. Supposidly their sticks are used by a good percentage of the NHL. Easton seems to thrive on sticks alone because their helmets, shin guards, etc are kind of at the bottom compared to bauer, ccm/reebok. I give Easton alot of credit, they stood the test of time while companies like Itech, Louisville TPS, Koho are all gone or just combined with others.
