Ryan O’Reilly scores in overtime – Avs win last game of 2014

We’ve all heard the story before. A player dominates an entire game, fights for puck possession every single shift, hits a couple of posts, misses a couple of opportunities, and has nothing on the scoresheet to show for it. Until of course, overtime comes around.
That was Ryan O’Reilly today. The one they call ‘Factor’ scored his fifth career regular season overtime goal after arguably playing his best game of the season to lead the Avs to a victory over the Flyers Wednesday night. O’Reilly’s goal with 20 seconds remaining broke a 3-3 tie to give Colorado its 14th win of the season and fifth in its last nine games (5-2-2).
