hi im a new blogger and wanted to start with something sabres related. Thanks to Terry Pegula's buyer mentality the sabres have a situation that we havent seen in years, competition. Every year the returning players of the sabres have been able to come back and reclaim their previous role on the team because there was never a surplus of players, young and mid-aged that were in serious contention for a starting position. With the cap exceded, over payed players like Jochen Hecht (3,525,000), Ales Kotalik (3,000,000), Shaone Morrisonn(2,075,000) will be looking over their shoulders for the upcoming preseason. This uncertianty could bring out the best of all three players who have had half hearted efforts in the past. The same could be said with Brad Boyes but i feel he will remain on the roster and end up elevating his play to at least another 20-30 goal season. His breif stint so far in Buffalo has been a poor representation of his skill because he was taken off of the wing to play center. I see him and leino creating a very threatening second line with either Pomminville or Stafford. Bad news for Hecht and Kotalik is that Zack Kassian has continued with his inspired play and i think we will see him crack the roster if not in the begining then later in the season. Matt Ellis will also be trying his best to prove himself and based on his energetic all out effort i expect him to be in serious consideration for a fourth line spot. In regards to Morrisonn, Gragnani has an exceptional run at the end of the season through Buffalo's first round loss. The fact that there are options for the bottom six forwards on the roster hopefully means that our line depth improves greatly.

thank you for reading since i am new i would greatly appreciate your comments on the quality of this post and opinions on the matter
