The Vancouver Canucks take on the Minnesota Wild tonight for a match-up that is sure to be very….dull. Would it be an understatement to say that Wild hockey isn’t that exciting? Hey, I suppose that since Lemaire left they have been a little more entertaining to watch.

That being said, it’s always nice to sit down and enjoy a Canucks game whether they are playing the Chicago Blackhawks or the aforementioned Wild. What matters is that we are seeing Canucks hockey. Problem with this season was that for the first 10 games, we weren’t seeing Canucks hockey. Now, after two straight wins, the Canucks are going to have to show that this exciting, up-tempo style is here to stay.

If the Canucks can force the Wild to play fast paced hockey tonight, the Canucks shouldn’t have a problem winning this game. To me, that is what made the Canucks great up until the Stanley Cup Final last year. They forced other teams to play a different game. Problem was that, Boston did the exact same thing to them. If there is anything I hope that the Canucks took from last year it’s that they need to play their own game.

Some line-up notes:

- Cory Schneider is going to get the start in goal tonight. Not really a surprise when you consider Luongo’s less than stellar record in Minny over the last few years. He played a full 60 minutes at the Xcel Energy Center in a while.

- Looks like Sulzer will remain in the line-up. I like him in that number six spot more than Alberts/Tanev. He seems to bring a really consistent game without any glaring errors.

- If I had to guess, I’d say that the fourth line is going to get a lot of ice-time tonight. They have played incredibly well this season and Alain Vigneault has been rewarding them as such. Max Lapierre has been such a great guy for this team and it’s no secret that he is pushing Manny Malhotra for ice.

That’s all for now, folks. Enjoy the game!
