Rangers win game one...

Posted 10:16 PM ET | Comments 0
So time ticked down as I tore the hair out of my head, and somehow the Rangers eeked out a win in Atlanta.
After playing well the first two periods, the Rangers lost their edge and the Thrashers dominated the third period. Still, throughout the entire game whenever the Blueshirts would extend their lead, it was only a matter of time before they let Atlanta get the goal back. It was a frustrating back and forth and it definitely made me nervous.
However, regardless of how close it was, I'm ecstatic the team stole a win in Atlanta, which will turn out to be very important in this series.

If the Rangers expect to win this series, and any in the future, they're going to need to get more out of their secondary lines. The second and third lines need to step up their game. The first line, and especially Nylander (who seemed like he was all over the place), did what they needed to do.

I didn't watch the game, I listened to it on the radio. Based on that, I'll say I'll take the performance tonight and DEFINITELY love the win, but the Rangers are going to have to take it up a notch from here on out.

Those are my spur of the moment thoughts. I'm looking forward to Saturday and actually getting to watch the game on NBC.
