I have a serious case of the Mondays, I do not even really know exactly what that means, but I heard that lady say it in Office Space, so it must mean something. I have been spending my past weeks getting my new home ready to live in this week. Thankfully no one was planning on coming to our place for Thanksgiving because it would have been crappy eating on T.V. trays on drop cloth covered floors and having your morning coffee on a very sticky backyard deck. Wow that was a mouth full. You know what I love? The smell of a freshly painted house. Our house has that smell right now, and it makes the work easier when you think, "It will all be worth it when it's done". We already have Christmas decorations up, it was easier than storing them and then taking them back out in another week or two. Turkey Day is one of my favorite holidays. Actually the day after is really the best. I make sandwiches out of dinner rolls with the works in it, and for some reason my brother makes fun of me for it every year. I'm talking turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, whatever I can fit into a palm sized dinner roll, it is awesome. Alright enough of my rambling.

The Sharks have a nice long break until they play L.A. on Saturday. The injury bug has bit them, but it seems to have helped them somehow, picking up a point in each of their last six games. The time off will give Michalek and Rivet ample to time to rest and hopefully be ready for Saturday's game.

Douglas Murray has been outstanding and looks to have had some kind of awakening. It's like he awakened one morning and just said, "That is it, I got it". He showed up for the game that evening and decided he was going to be San Jose's best defenseman. Whatever happened I don't care, he has found his game and his game is good, very good.

Devin Setoguchi is going to make a run for rookie of the year honors, and if he keeps up like he has, he will run away with it. His drive and nose for the net are exactly what you want to see in a young guy, and boy has he got it. He knows where to go and has a shot that is very very good.

Patrick Marleau has shown some life. He has been working hard and it is begining to show. Marleau is going to be just fine, and I predict he will have a great December.

Evgeni Nabokov is back to his old form. He has given San Jose a chance to win in nearly every game this season. Sure there have been some blunders but every goalie has games like that every now and then. He is playing with more passion then he has in the last couple of years.

Torrey Mitchell just keeps getting better. He is playing great and just wait till he gets a year in the NHL under his belt. He is going to be amazing next season.

I will hit on the rest of the guys in the upcoming days of the week. I could do them all now but with no Sharks games until Saturday I have to save something to write about for the rest of the week.

Thanks for reading my ramblings and everyone have a great Thanksgiving !

Moving. What a thrill. (Although a new/different home - along the fresh paint - are usually welcome changes.) Interesting season so far. San Jose's early missteps reversed and you're on top of the division with the Ducks right behind. Obviously still early in the season, but quite a bit of parity across the entire league at this point. Enjoy Thanksgiving (and your day after dinner roll sandwiches).
