Tonight will be a good one. Colorado has a record on the road like the Sharks have at home, but throw all that out the window. Colorado always shows up to play the Sharks whether it is at home, away, Japan, or Zimbabwe. No matter how you look at it tonight will be a good test of will for the boys in teal.

Colorado will be looking to improve a woeful road record, while the Sharks try to turn around their struggles at home. Joe Sakic has been a Shark killer in his career against the team. Not to be discouraging, but he has 72 points in 50 career games against team teal. Colorado won the last meeting between the two back in early October by a score of 6-2. Paul Stastny shinned as Colorado easily beat San Jose in Denver.

San Jose is coming in ridding a three game losing streak. The team looked to have some fire in Wednesday's game, taking an early lead, only to see it slip away as L.A. went on to win in a shootout. San Jose has had trouble finishing games. The team has not been able to give a 60 minute effort all season, and has seen leads slip away as they sleepwalk through the 2nd period and the first 15 minutes of the 3rd. The teams leadership, coaching, management, and even talent has been questioned over the last few days, and rightly so. This is a team that was supposed to walk all over teams this season, and they are just barely competing.

Both teams have not been that great recently, both going 2-3 in their last five games. Tonight should see a spirited match-up between two teams looking to get back into form.

My keys to the game.......

*Sakic has been in a slump and if he is going to get going again he probaly thinks he can do it here. Keep an eye on the Shark killer.

*Get traffic in front of the net. Colorado has been rotating goalies pretty consistently and both are quality netminders. Lots of shots and PEOPLE going to the net.

*Keep Ryan Smyth's behind out of Nabokov's face. Show a little more fight in front of your own net tonight and get that guy cleared out.

It should be a good one tonight, and hopefully our boys can get it rolling tonight.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the game tonight! GO SHARKS !

That was a good game. I can't wait for the rematch, and as usual good blog. My keys for the rematch (1) score more goals than the Avalanche in regulation, I feel that is the easiest way to win the game.....
