WILL THE BUFFALO SABRES AND THEIR SPECIAL TEAMS PLEASE REPORT TO THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS...THE BUFFALO SABRES AND THEIR SPECIAL TEAMS TO THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS....THANK YOU

That's what I heard over the HSBC p.a. tonight following an embarassing showing (or lack thereof) by the Sabres in game 1 of the ECF. Bottom line is, if their power play continues to be non-exisistent, giving up breakaways and goals, and their penalty killing is as half-assed as it's been the past two games, wednesday night will be the final game of the season for our beloved squad. I haven't given up hope, which is amazing considering what I saw this evening. I'm just saying that if tonight repeats itself or becomes an oft repeated pattern, the Ottawan brooms will be out and sweeping dusty Buffalo balls.

i'm confident that they'll turn it around...i'm just sayin' if they DON'T turn it around, it does not bode well for them....ya can't go into an ECF w special teams looking like they did last night....take away 1 pp goal and that shg, that negates the empty net goal, and it's a 2-2 game @ best (or is it worse??)

We need a building full of "Mr. Yell 'Shoot' on the Powerplay Guy" for game two.

Game 3 in the books, Sabres' special teams have still not shown up. Buffalo is done.
