Sabres rolled into Montreal refreshed and raring to go after the All Star weekend. Sabres defeated the Habs 3-1

The Habs jumped into a 1-0 lead at 4:09 mark of the first period courtesy of Pacioretty, Sabres responded early in the 2nd at the 4:01 courtesy of the man we have all been waiting for to step up and put the puck in the net Ville Leino, just the 4th of the season for him but he did score on a nice toe drag snipe shot.

Gaustad broke the deadlock at 6:17 into the 3rd period started by Brad Boyes driving hard around the net protecting the puck well and throws a seeing eye pass to Goose standing firm in front of the net even with Gill trying to bully him outta the way the puck finds his stick and Goose redirects it past Price.

Kaleta ices it with a workhorse effort on Ehrhoffs dump attempt at the open net as Montreal D fell asleep at the helm.

The Sabres played a magnificent game despite being down 1-0 early on they buckled down and were playing determined hockey the defense were aces in clearing out loose pucks and turning it into an offensive attack.

Most notable were the Sabres chances at the cross ice passes they got through but could never get a solid connection or the Sabres could of been laughing this whole game and the outcome could of been at worse for the Habs if it wasn't for Price playing hero.

Miller stood on his head all game long and it showed when he dove across to get a glove on what was a sure goal for Pacioretty but instead he found mesh above the glass as Miller was able to get just enough to deflect it outta harms way.Miller also snuffed out a Cole breakaway with a brilliant poke check and reel in.

Adam was a healthy scratch and Vanek left the game with what is being disclosed as an upper body injury no time frame yet as to how long he will be out for.

The Sabres go back home to play the Rangers who are coming off a shootout loss over the Devils.

Sabres entered 10 points out but with the Leafs losing in Shootout to Pittsburgh The Sabres are now 9 points out instead of 8 points out with 32 games left... Hey, ANYTHING can happen

With this I ask thee Sabres fans, Can They?

Lets Go Buffalo!
