"The Real Puckin' Deal"
Detroit, MI • United States •
According to the Detroit Free Press the Red Wings are working on a two-year contract extension with forward Todd Bertuzzi. The contract is expected to be finalized before the weekend.

Bertuzzi is in his final season of his original two-year contract that pays him just under 2 millions dollars a season. The new contract is reported to bump his salary up over $2 million.

Bertuzzi has had some success in his second stint with the Red Wings with his big body and clutch goals. One thing he has drastically improved on while in Detroit is his two-way game.

This is a good move for the Wings becuase of his size and the presence he brings on the ice of his good offensive skills as well as his intimidating stature at 6'3" 230 pound.
