C J. Spacek
A J. Pominville
A A. Kotalik or J. Hecht
Spacek has turned into a complete player. he asked for more playing time and when lindy ruff gave it to him he responded by being the best defencemen on the team. he has had big hits and big goals in my opinion there is no one else that deserves this honor more then him.
Pominville has been on fire. hes scored 15 points in the month of december and has been playing much better. in the last few games i have been in awe of the fact that he has thrown hits and finnishing his.
Kotalik had 9 points in the month of december and had 7 goals also with one in the shootout to clinch the game against philly. hes been playing better as of late and useing his size and his shot. if he continues he will have a solid season
Hecht is a complete player for this team. hes scored big goals and works hard every shift. the sabres did the right thing in locking him up and regardless of where he scores from hes a big time player for the sabres
let the debate begin.......

I don't mean to be rude but I think its hilarious the Sabres are going with a captain per month strategy lol
Why is that so funny? The Wild have done it throughout their entire existence and it has served them just fine. I think it's a great idea to reward players that are showing their value to the team.
The C should not be treated as a monthly reward in my opinion. The C to me represents stability and leadership within a hockey club. How do the Wild do in the playoffs when the Captain and leader of a team really becomes important?
While a new leader is emerging, I don't think the practice is hilarious at all. I would prefer someone emerges to take in on for a length of time, but until they do, why not give several guys the opportunity. Three months into the season, and we STILL haven't found a clear cut leader.And I agree, Spach is due for the reigns.
