"Philadelphia Flyers"
First off, follow me on twitter @PHI_Flyers to talk some hockey

I thought it would be fun to steer away from everyone dissecting one team for the offseason coming up and look at players trade values. I'm going to break down each team and put their key players into either ELITE value, HIGH Value, and AVG value. Im not going to include every player so if you feel there is a key person missing, feel free to throw it in the comments. Here we go...

If you think drew stafford had more trade value then hodgson and erhoff you need to read more

I think you have a lot of D way too low, along with others. Hiller, Ehrhoff, Stasny, Wisniewski, Meszaros, Enstrom, and Bieksa should all move up one tier. Either because of current slumps or injury, they all have either histories of previous great play or are simply mobile Defense which is short suppply and thus worth more in trade.

In fact any quality defensmen should be in the second tier by virtue of the scarcity of their position.

Vanek (more than a pt per game player on a poor roster without support) is considered an equivalent to Bobby Ryan (horrible season on a top ranked team)??? Seriously?? I know there are other issues with these ranks, but once I got to that point... I stopped looking at the rest.

Bergeron should be elite. He may not be crosby or malkin or stamoks in terms of scoring, but every team in the league would love to have him. His top comparison would probably be Toews who is elite.

Myers is overrated on this article, he is high. Vanek is elite and will yield a 1st round pick, a decent, young roster player, and a good prospect.

Toews>Bergeron by a mile thats why
June 19, 2013 1:17 PM ET | Delete
Toews > Bergeron based on what?

Bergeron is the best all around player in the NHL he should be elite. He puts up 60 points, hes the best at faceoffs, best defensive forward, great leader, great off the ice in the community,

Vanek is underrated definately, but Myers just had a bad year. He can still be a franchise defenseman. The lockout killed him.

Myers has had like 3 bad years since his calder winning season
June 19, 2013 7:24 PM ET | Delete
Or really two but it seems like forever since he was a big time player

phaneuf is elite but kessel isnt? and neither is lupul after what hes done here in toronto? how is JVR ranked higher then lupul? lupul has posted over a ppg in 2 seasons as a leaf (he got injured off a shot from phaneuf, not a reoccurring injury)
