Buffalo Wings

Everyone spoke to how fast, talented and overpowering the Sabres were in the regular season, including yours truly. But, as I have stated before and others before me, the playoffs are a different time of year. Winning the President's Trophy means two things, you get a nice trophy and you get home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

Home ice advantage. Who cares? Nobody. Unless you are into a 7th game, which this series is likely not going to go into, it means nothing anymore. Fans live all over the universe, in different cities and you see Ottawa jersey's in Buffalo and vice-versa. I remember in the 70's at Flyers games that you *NEVER* saw a Rangers jersey in the stands and if there was.....well anyway.

What do the Sabres need now? A RedBull? I hear that it gives you Wings, because they are certainly not going to see any other kind of Wing this year, not Red or the flying variety.

Alfredsson, Spezza and Heatley are maniacs. They are playing some of the best hockey I have seen a set of three play in years. The Sens are playing like winners, they are playing like beasts and Buffalo is paying for it. My prediction for this series was based on home-ice and a game 7 - only time I think it matters...remember above? - however it was a difficult call. Emery has gained my admiration and respect and even though the Sens are up 3-0, Miller has still outplayed him. Miller is a amazing goalie and is playing inspired hockey at the moment, it is just unfortunate that the Senators have turned into Goliath and the Sabres scoring prowess has turned into David. Not that the games have not been close - a bounce one way or the other and it's 2-1 Sabres. But it's not. Bounces seem to follow the teams that are playing exemplary hockey and they bounces are all going the Sens way up to this point.

While there is the possibility of the Sabres coming back, it is highly unlikely and would shock me if it happened. The Sens are playing the way a champion plays.

Sabres - get out the bleu cheese dressing and start dippin' them wings! Oh - just make sure to wipe off your hands before you swing your 3 wood.

Did you even make the playoffs? Buffalo had more points than you in December than you had the whole season. I wouldn't talk, you are going to s*** for a long time because you have no goaltending.

Hey Jhockey - I don't think I made one reference to either the Rangers or the Flyers. Are you just being a jerk to be a jerk? My comments was that the Sabres are getting their @$$es handed to them by the Sens.

I would love to see it. Comebacks like that happen so rarely that it would be cool to see it.
