Tsn's Scott Cullen blogged his off-season game plan for Montreal. The roster was the same but he added in Patrick Elias. Elias will help out any team he plays for, but I feel it is unlikely he signs with MTL. Bergevin will go after Jagr and Iggy. I'm sure he would entertain Elias as an option but Lou won't and can't give up his services. The Devils don't have much star power and I feel they will go through some dark years. This hybrid icing rule is complete crap. I don't see the positive to player safety. If two players are chasing down an icing the refs won't blow it down, this is where players are getting hurt. No-touch icing or touch icing are the ONLY logical rules. As for everyone guessing Tampa will buy out Vincent Lecavalier is nuts. Vinny is still a huge part of that team. How many teams out there would be drooling over him if he became a free agent? 29 teams would be. His size, skill and leadership will be needed to move forward in Tampa. As I stated earlier Bergevin will be smart and go after Jagr and Iginla, the team is one or two players away from being a true contender, Hab fans deserve it as the organization does. Really counting the days until the draft and free agency as this year will be productive for ALL teams. Watch for Montreal to go after Sam Morin with the possibility of moving down to acquire him.
