Flyers vs Caps - Game 6

Posted 9:38 PM ET | Comments 4
Wow what a letdown tonight was. For the first 30 minutes the Flyers did everything right. Attack, defend, and goaltending. Then quickly the collapse happened. There was no passion in the last half of the game. The Caps beat the Flyers to every puck and out worked them all over the rink.

Now the Flyers face back to back nights, a situation where Biron has played poorly all year. I wonder if Stevens has a quick hook on him tomorrow night. The 2nd goal by the Caps near the end of the 2nd period was the momentum change. Until that point, the Flyers had good control of the game.

Congrats to the Caps team and coaches, they stayed in control when down by 2 early in the 2nd period. This young team has matured quite a bit.

This game was lost and now we face a game 7. Now the Caps face the same issue that the Flyers have faced the last 2 games. Winning the 4th game in the hardest part of the series. Someone will move on tomorrow night.

The only good thing for you guys is that Washington has to play back-to-back nights, too. So neither team will have an advantage there. Also, I wouldn't put TOO much stock in this whole idea of momentum. If the Flyers start solid, and play a complete road game, they'll be well on their way. They need to contain the Caps early though and not let the fans take over.

the flyers simply need to score first in washington and take the fans out of the game quickly. they need to re-focus and not let backman, semin, and ovechkin skate circles around them. ovechkin only had 1 goal for until the flyers gave him the golden break away. i can only imagine how different this game would have been if braydon coburn hits twine (even if it was twine above the glass) instead of the goal post. the flyers gave ovechkin what he dearly wanted: room. they need to return to smart physical hockey to win. honestly, i don't think they do it, but i'm trying to have faith. if they come out flat and let the caps score first, game set match.

Forgot what has gone on before this is a game 7....Both teams have played an equal amount of good and bad games to get here. Lets just leave it all on the ice tonight. If they do that I'll be happy. Lets not forget the 39 point turn around year these boys have had. They have made watching this team fun again for the most part :) LETS GO FLYERS!!!!!
