Contraction of the NHL?

Posted 7:00 PM ET | Comments 3
I am just making sure that the Flyers were not dropped from the NHL. I have seen 1 game played by the Flyers in the last 11 days! Who makes the schedule for the league and why do the Flyers play the fewest games during October and November every year. At the moment, the Penguins have played 50% more games (9 vs 6) games compared to the Flyers. This means simply that during the compressed season (due to the Olympics), the Flyers will play 3 more games between now and the end of the season - which makes their schedule even more compressed.

Any comments?

Means you'll have a lot to watch when hockey starts really picking up after the winter holidays...
