"Flyers and NHL follow me at http://twitter.com/BobHaynesJr"

Time to end all the speculation….did anyone notice that after Canada won the gold medal that Chris Pronger was shown standing there with his arm around Mike Richards. I thought that the media said that these two players did not get along. They sure didn’t seem like that. This was not just a simple hug between teammates; this was a genuine hug between a player that is the big brother and a young leader of the Flyers.

Congratulations to Canada for winning the Gold Medal.

Congratulations to the USA for winning the Silver Medal - nobody expected a medal from this group and they played wonderfully during the entire tournament.

The gold medal game was brilliantly played, the players on the ice decided the outcome, the referees were perfect for the game, and both teams played a perfect game. Either team could have won.

No matter how well this tournament ended up, the times for the games being played in Pacific Time basically stunk for those of us in Eastern Time zone. Now just think how bad the times will be from Russia in 2014. Dear NHLPH and NHL, please stop interrupting the season so that only a few players can play hockey.

Dear Phigment, Please stop criticizing some of the best hockey game that have ever been played because of 'the times of the games.' If you don't want NHL players representing their country and giving us that type of show, I don't understand how you can call yourself a hockey fan.

The Olympics did not produce a series of great games. There were at best a handful. My opinion is that the NHL produces better hockey on a daily basis. The Germans, Swiss, Norway, Belarus, and Lativa had mostly guys that could not play in the NHL.

The quality games were Canada vs the USA (both), Finland over Slovakia for the Bronze and not much else. Most games were blowouts. And even the marquee matchups like Canada vs Russia and USA vs Finland were BAD blowouts early and not competitive.

I am a hockey fan and I say that on a daily basis there are better quality games in the NHL daily. I am not saying that they get the attention of the national media like the Olympics - but the actual game is more competitive and better played.

I have to agree - look at the scores of the games in the preliminary round. http://www.vancouver2010.com/olympic-hockey/schedule-and-results/men_ihm400000vpreliminary-Vj.html
