Avalanche Main concern

We all saw how game 7 ended against Minnesota - A lead blown - not once but twice.

They were missing their leaders - where was Stastny when it mattered? They want to resign him? for what? Johnson was missing - Talbot?

This off-season the Avalanche need a leader a winner - Tanguay healthy? The start of the season, sure, by the playoffs? Who knows!

Let Colorado lose Stastny and save some money - bring in Dave Bolland - Matt Niskanen guys that have won or been with nothing but winners the last few seasons.

Replace Stastny and go get a Jussi Jokinen, Brad Richards, Ryan Callahan, Dan Boyle.

With Richards being bought out he should be willing to take less money. Callahan wants term and a future winner but his price is not far off from Stastny.

Keys to the Avalanche winning - the right leaders and better defense... Not to mention a goalie that can take the load off Varlamov and win - Berra 9-18-3 3.07 GAA .893 SV% is not going to cut it.

This next week will define the Colorado Avalanche for the 2014-15 NHL season - I will keep you up to date of thoughts and concerns leading into training camp.
