One can assume that as the NHL playoffs progress we will be treated to more and more intense playoff hockey, but that is not always the case. I dont think that will be a problem this year, specifically in the Eastern Conference. I am not a fan of BUF or OTT but I am familiar with the rivalry that exists between these two teams and I can assure everybody that this will be a memorable series. These teams matchup well and every game they play is pretty close, with OTT holding an edge in the season series. Not sure what the outcome will be, but it might be a good idea to set some time aside for these games because this will be good hockey.

I think Buffalo and Ottawa are one playoff match-up from becoming equivalent to the Detroit - Colorado rivalry of the late 90s, early 00s.

well, i think the playoffs FINALLY started for Buffalo with 16 seconds left in game 5 against the Rangers...maybe even with 10 minutes left in game 4.....either way, the 'bres have finally shown up for the post-season and this ECF promises to be one for the ages....almost making ANY Stanley Cup Final anti-climactic.....and aaaawayyyyyyyyyy we go.....

This may be the best series of playoff hockey any of us ever witness
