Prospect Player Profile:
Kevin Fiala - LW for the Nashville Predators

Fiala is a Swiss born winger who is currently playing for the Milwaukee Admirals, the Predators farm team. He was drafted eleventh overall in 2014, which means he is still just 19 years old. Fiala led the Admirals this regular season, posting 50 points in 66 regular season games. He already possesses NHL level offensive skills. He is a very shifty, creative player who can create chances using his quickness and agility. His skills are a mirror image of those displayed by Jonathan Drouin of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Unfortunately for the Predators, Fiala can also be a defensive liability at times. He is a very poor defensive-minded player who could benefit greatly from some additional size and strength. He has been criticized extensively for his wreckles and careless plays; a trait which must be snuffed out before he can transition into the NHL.

Nonetheless, I anticipate Fiala to spend another season with the Admirals to develop his game. If Fiala can become a more responsible player, he could easily become a huge asset for the Nashville Predators. Fiala has skills which are unteachable. His creativity and vision make him very difficult to defend. In the modern NHL, we could see Fiala become a very effective point producer for the Nashville Predators. In my opinion, he possesses some of the best offensive skills in the entire AHL.
