So much talk about how to fix the Oilers but I keep hearing he same ideas. When you have been this bad for this long it is time to think out side the box so here are some suggestions on how to fix this real quick.rnrn1) Hire Mike Milbury as an Assistant GM and let him run development. Since development has not been a strong point for this team for so long, why do it. His knack for identifying young talent is second to none so your can just trade away any kids that show a hint of talent so that you don't have to develop them.rnrn2) Make Pierre Maguire assistant to the POHO. Between him and Klowe in the top office there will be some much knowledge about how to win that there is no way they can lose.rnrn3) Trade Gagner, Yakapov and Petry. The fans say they suck so better get rid of them. Trade the for pucks if needed.rnrn4) Fire Eakins. Why not. It is one thing this team is good at.rnrn5) Hire another coach. In all honesty it doesn't matter who it is because they will be gone next year too.rnrn5) Hire Smyth as a Assist coach. Not enough former players or guys named Smyth on the bench. rnrn6) Quit playing defense. Just worry about scoring goals and if you lose the puck, take your time getting back so you do not waste energy, besides the goaltender will stop it, most of the time. Oh wait they already do that. rnrn7) Let Kid Katz do the drafting. Seriously. Why not. It's not like this team can develop them anyways. Plus who do you think will be running the team in 5 years. It could be a work experience thing for him.rnrn8) Let Kid Katz run the team. See above comment. rnrn9) Dive for David. It has to work this time. The other 3 firsts were just practice. rnrn10) Add heroin to the beer to dull the fans emotions. What that is already happening too?rnrn11) Make Katz pay for his own arena if he can't put a something of a winning team together.rnrn12) Hire more former Oilers. They know how to win.
