With the aquisition of Jason Blake and Vesa Toskala the leafs are gaurenteed to do better. But how much better?

Our team for next year seems pretty much all offense guided. On defence we only have one defensive defensemen in Hall Gill. On forward we have only two two way players assuming Peca is gone those being Chad Kilger and Boyd Devereaux.

But now that we have Toskala even if we dump raycroft if our GAA goes from 3.00 to 2.50 last year we would have had our selves a playoff spot and then some.

Give me your feedback how will the leafs do next season?

Toskala and Blake are huge boosts to a struggling Maple Leaf team, with that being said, I don't think they'll do much better than last season because they need more time to get their whole team in order and especially if disgruntled players like McCabe and Kubina continue to live off the Leafs payroll, then I don't see a playoff birth saying "Toronto Maple Leafs".

Toskala i'll give you, that's def an improvment from crappy raycroft. Jason Blake was one of my favorite islanders cause he hustled none stop, but he's not a team player he's a puck hog and he's far from being clutch. Also he looks like a rat and is only in the NHL cause he was picked out of a hat. Isles #1
