There's only so much you can do to a crap logo and color scheme.....Yeah, everyone's getting new uniforms, some more modified than others. There'll be no more third jerseys this season, thank God for Pred fans

i like the style, but i'll agree, the color scheme has gone awry. but the iles logo has always been great. very vintage. i think the new rbk jersey idea is cool, but i think there should be more uniformity to it all. solid colors with simple stripes... and everyone has to have the drawstring. always been a fan.

I agree, the body of the jersey isn't too bad, but the sleeves are shat. The logo could be a lot worse though, you could have captain fishstick back or a prehistoric cat

the home jersey looks good but the away is bad. I know it's the same layout but with white it looks weird and out of place when you have a dominantly white jersey and have sleeves that are mostly orange and blue. I like the number on the front but I think they could rid of the drawstrings.

At first glance I really liked these new sweaters. But now after ready these posts and invisioning it without the orange on the upper sleeve, I've changed my mind. It would look so much better without that upper sleeve color. I was also hoping that they would go back to the old light blue and orange colors with the new look. It would've been "very nice" (using my best Borat immitation).

Sweet Moseus! Those sleeves ruin the whole jersey.... they looked rather nice until that too. I hope the Leafs don't mess up their jerseys..

I actually dont mind it as much as I figured I would, once we get used to it it'll be alright.BTW, arwilson529, "crap logo", the preds logo is a sabertooth cat, you don't have much room to talk

Well it seams that this is what we're going to be seeing all year so I feel I must get use to the new digs. There actually not that bad. I just wanted to go back to the old blue and orange colors. I think it would've looked real nice.

Are any other teams doing this?"It didn't start with Buffalo, I believe it originated with the Chicago Cougars and was used in All-Star Games going back to 2002. I'm also sure we won't be the only other team to do that.

When I first looked at it I was like Oh God What Have They Done, but it grew on me really fast. I agree with the knock on the sleeves. I would prefer just a solid color on the sleeves but hey overall I think it looks good!

Islanders website says that the Isles are one of 4 teams with the numbers on the front this season (Sabres of course, being the the originator, one of the four, I don't know who else). Its not surprising that its being "copied", it seemed to be popular, kinda grew on me, and plus, with all 30 teams switching to new jerseys, what better opportunity to try something like this. I think the jersey will grow on us. My least favorite part is the shoulder-level stripe. Glad they kept the vintage logo, kind of upset that the major change was in the sleeves (that looks pretty bad from the pics), any sort of shake-up in colors would be kind of fun (back to "vintage" royal, or even to more orange on the body, or something).

I'm sure 10 games into the season everyone will like them. They aren't that bad. I do agree that the sleeves should be one solid color.

They need to bring back the original blue color. I thought the Islander throwbacks looked amazing last year ( i was at the game).......Older generation fans who really know what this franchise was all about wont even recognize the team out there in these jerseys....

Well, I'm just glad they kept the stripes on the right shoulder, since I have that tatooed on my shoulder and I want that to stay up to date. I guess the jersey is alright, since they didn't add any teal or change the logo (remember that mistake?) I'd love to see how they look on me and my beer gut, since I really don't do well in "form fitting" jerseys (I know the ladies love my gut). The away jersey should be blue sleaves with orange trim...I don't like that much orange. I do love the shoe-strings, though.

im torn with these jerseys...i keep looking at them...i like them and i dont like them....if they just went back to the original color blue i would really like them.....the home jersey just clashes too much from dark dark blue to bright orange....it doesnt look right....i love the numbers on the front though.....maybe it is just the upper part of the sleeve....i dunno, but im not completely satisfied...i dotn like changing jerseys every 5 years

It's a lot better than the Washington, Nashville design. This actually looks really good.

you know what it is? the upper orange should be the dark blue on both. THAT would be sharp.

those are the ugliest jerseys ever (except for min. 3rd jersey)
