If the rangers land the cancer that is heatley they could get in especially with king henrik in net... That being said the rest is right on i believe the top three could be those teams in any order I hate pittsburgh so i hope that they lose everybody to injury and miss the playoffs haha

I would flip the Rags to 8th, Sens 9th, Bolts 10th and Leafs 11th. In the West I think St Louis gets 7th, the Kings 8th with Minny just missin...

What? No love for the 'Canes? You completely ignored them:P They have a good chance of makin' the playoffs too.

Kotalik makes them worse as does Gaborik because he will miss 35 games, at least, to injury. Having a great goalie doesn't make you win. Look at Florida with Luongo.

move the devils down, insert canes, and move tampa bay down. Devils will miss Gionta.

rehtard.canes, nyr and ottawa make it, tampa philly and ESPECIALLY BUFFALO don't make it, they lost great guys, teppo, ales, they finsh near the bottomCOLUMBUS MISSING?!?!?

He is healthy and you can't just assume a player will miss most of the season because of his past. Still Rangers are better than Buffalo on a bad day. Still bitter about Gomez taking out Miller last year. Get over it we are a better team than we were last season and it's clear to see. Gaborik is better than any player on Buffalo with 1 leg and Hank is 10 times better than Miller.

In case you didn't watch last season, the Sabres went 3-1 against the Rangers last year. The only Sabres loss came when Miller was injured. 10 times better than Miller is a huge exaggeration and we'll just have to see how things play out this season and if Gaborik plays a full season.

habsteen26: Teppo was a non-factor. Old and last leg of his career. Ales is lazy. Philly

Scalr, left off the rest of my comment???

I feel like Buffalo is a 'tweener' team... they have a solid foundation but also some serious holes... I can't honestly say they would finish above the Senators or Canes.

Habsteen, just shh.... shhh.....

I honestly don't see how Columbus missing from the playoffs bothers people. They didn't do anything to get better, after getting swept, and all the teams in front of them improved or stayed the same.

First off good predictions would switch tb with canes and to the guy who thinks gaborik is better on one leg then any player on buffalo??? Lol ur just being ignorant vanek is a better player than gabby better point production and he stays healthy no shot against gabby or the rangers I just don't see him making that much of a difference. Ps outside of lunquist who basically identical to miller in skill the rangers have no one but a bunch of overpaid washed up superstars

Man ad wolf your words are profound. Gaborik better than vanek with one leg? Why didn't he play through his numerous leg/hip injuries if he was that good? Gaborik has missed 115 games in the past four seasons while vanek has missed 10. It would be foolish for me to say that Lundqvist isn't fantastic but ten times better than miller? Thats a joke. Colton Orr is ten times better than Parise or Malkin right? Five times better than Malkin or Ovechkin? I'd Say you're right on. Not.

Before you go and say something irrational know this. Last season Miller won 34 of the 59 games he played thats 57% Lundqvist won 38 of 70. 54%. Miller had a save % of .918 while Lundqvist's was .916. Is that ten times better? Are you still sour about Drury ruining your day with 7.7 seconds left in regulation before coming to New York and never panning out? Seems to be the theme in New York grabbing guys past their prime.

Habsteen shut the hell up your just a homerthat has noidea what they are talking about...people like you are the reason that habs fans get a bad name I know not all habs fans are this bad...and phillyas much as i hate them will be one of the better teams in the east...habs will miss get over it
August 29, 2009 11:55 PM ET | Delete
Ive always viewed Miller and Lundqvist equal...chances are the rangers will be depending on a healthy gaborik and instant chemistry from the rest of there washed up players but if both of those things dont happen they will be struggling for the playoffs

Hell ya ^

East- Canes 6th, Habs 9th, Sens 10th.West- Swap Wings 3rd, Ducks 4th. Tougher conference to predict. It could very well be like last year when 13 of 15 teams had a legitimate chance throughout most of the season.Pretty realistic predictions overall.

It won't make a difference whether Anaheim had less points than Detroit, they would be in front of their division so they automatically get third.
