"Thoughts on the Dallas Stars, Texas Stars, and hockey in general."

I'm SOOOO glad to see the Stars putting together some wins, though I don't think any fan can honestly say they're comfortable with how Dallas is playing right now (just...less distressed, perhaps). Picking up points to get back into the playoff race is a good thing...don't get me wrong. As of right now, the Stars are only four points back from the Coyotes and Wild in the West's 7 & 8 seeds (with a game in hand on Phoenix)

But letting teams force OT in the last few minutes of the game? We're just giving points away. Points that may make all of the difference in the world come playoff time. Especially when playing teams like Phoenix and Columbus who sit in the thick of the West's logjam, the Stars need to come away with two points and leave the opposition with nada. Zip. Zero.

I believe the Stars are starting to turn things around, but it's time to put these games away in regulation if they have any hope of a post-season run.
