Here is part 2 of my analysis, the top line of the Vancouver Canucks!

LW #22 Daniel Sedin
Personal: 26 yrs old from Ornskoldsvik, Sweden 6-1 200 lbs Shoots L
Drafted 1999 1st Rd 2nd Overall by the Vancouver Canucks
Entering 7th NHL Season with the Canucks (6th overall)
Contract - 2 yrs remaining on 3 yr contract ($3.57 million)

Strengths: Daniel Sedin is a skilled winger with tremendous vision and a quick release. He is at his best when cycling the puck with his twin brother Henrik. Strong along the boards and in the corners.

Weaknesses: As evidenced by last year's playoffs, Daniel has trouble fighting through tight checking hockey. His skating is also not the best.

C #33 Henrik Sedin
Personal: 26 yrs old from Ornskoldsvik, Sweden 6-2 200 lbs Shoots L
Drafted 1999 1st Rd 3rd Overall by the Vancouver Canucks
Entering 7th NHL Season with the Canucks (7th overall)
Contract - 2 yrs remaining on 3 yr contract ($3.57 million)

Strengths: Henrik Sedin, the other half of the twin towers, is an extremely talented playmaker who has the knack for finding open players in excellent scoring position. While he works the best with his twin brother, Henrik can setup other players as well, evidenced by his 78 assist (t-3rd in NHL) performance last season.

Weaknesses: The one major weakness Henrik has is his inability to know when to shoot and when to pass. He definitely doesn't shoot enough, as seen by his mediocre 10 goal outing in 06-07, dropping 10 goals from the previous season. He also doesn't have elite speed.

RW #9 Taylor Pyatt
Personal: 25 yrs old from Thunderbay, ON 6-4 220 lbs Shoots L
Drafted 1999 1st Rd 8th Overall by the New York Islanders
Entering 2nd NHL season with the Canucks (7th Overall)
Contract - 2 yrs remaining on 2 yr contract ($1.5 million)

Strengths: Blessed with tremendous size, Pyatt is a force to be reckoned with when he uses his body. Has a quick release on his wrist shot and adequate skating speed. He is also very versatile in his playing style. In his first season with the Canucks, he found chemistry with the Sedins and scored a career high 23 goals.

Weaknesses: Pyatt still has to learn to use his size more to his advantage. If he can become more of a power forward, then he will really be a force. His skating can also improve.
