The Sharks current losing streak has me really frustrated. The interview with Thorton made me a little angrier; he said they were playing well just not getting the goals. It made me think back to the past games, sure the other goalie was given the first star in a number of these games, however I don't think the Sharks lost those games due to a hot goalie. The turn overs alone have killed the Sharks. The entire team is not playing well and they are not using their size when they should.

On the powerplay last night vs. the Oilers, Boyle had the puck and was more than able to shoot while being 5-8 feet in front of the net, and he elected to GO AROUND THE NET!!!!
Our goaltending is a mess. Nitty must have had a horseshoe last night he was out of position on 2 VERY easy tap in goals that hit the side of the net. Both Niemi and Nitty are defiantly part of the Sharks overall problem. Sure the Sharks do need another high end D-man but a good number of the goals that have gone in are totally on the goalie.
Could the C being on Throton matter that much? If the C is to go onto someone to be an example then I can think of a few others who it would be fitting. Big Joe's play has been very soft and a number of his turn overs lead directly to goals against.
Todd McLellan I don't think is getting this team fired up and working. The line juggling isn't getting it done and the goalie rotation has had me scratching my head for a number of the games.
From my point of view there are not many moves the Sharks can make right now, the play of everyone is so poor that their trade value is down. Fire the coach doesn't sound totally out of the question but he is not lost a huge number of games and I do think he has what it takes to take a team and make them win. Where is the breaking point before you are forced to do something? Don’t' want to sound like I'm in a panic mode but something has to change soon.
