Martin Erat earned his first NHL hat trick on Tuesday against the Edmonton Oilers. However, since game was on the Oilers' home turf, Marty didn't get showered with hats.
Some enterprising fans have been working with the front office to figure out how we can honor Erat's accomplishment, and an idea has taken shape.
Any fans wishing to send hats to Martin Erat can drop them off at the Predators offices (501 Broadway, Nashville) before 6pm on Monday, March 10. The hats will be given to Erat after practice on Tuesday morning. The presentation will be videotaped and played during Tuesday night's game.
So if you want to honor Erat's accomplishment, send those hats!
