The pentincton shame

It stings right? All that we hear about the Oilers and their youth and even sitting their best three prospects they trounce the Flames prospects.

Sitting Hall, Eberle, and Svensson was a chicken move for a few reasons. One, it's a no lose situation if the oil lose then hey... The big three weren't playing. If they win then it's extra gloat time. Secondly they were sheltering them from being hit, if they can't handle the heat just let us know. Thirdly if they played those guys and lost then there would be All of their hope crushed. Oil fans are rightfully ecstatic that their kids beat ours without the three but I would also be a ashamed of the coaching cowardice shown. It basically tells those kids they don't have to take their lumps like the rest.

Over the last year this Flames team has shown how they can generate shots, however goals are what count. Hopefully this need gets addressed soon because we are seeing ghosts of last years big team.

Backlund has been disappointing in this tournament, he desperately needs to show something. On the plus side there a couple guys who are surprising and when I get back home and off this I phone I'll write more!!

maybe the oil just didnt want to dress them, its only a rookie tourny, not the regular season.......... why risk your best three prospects up front from being hurt, not saying the calgary players would run them on purpose but its one of the most heated rivalry in hockey why risk it on a rookie tourny?
