"...There is a faction that say as soon as something goes wrong the crazies come out and talk about trading Iginla or Kipper. I respond, why is it crazy when the same club, with the same players, goes through the exact same thing every year and never wins? Why is that crazy? Sutter is historically a coach that either misses the playoffs or goes out in the first round. That’s the truth. Under Iginla and Kipper this team has been a failure, year after year. If one more person brings up the 04 run than I say move to Edmonton so you can live with all the other people who live in the past. That was 8 years ago! Failure since! So to summarize the culture, you have a G.M. who does nothing and shows the players he doesn’t actually do everything he can to make the team a winner, a coach who historically is not a winner at the NHL level, a captain who has grown complacent in Calgary, a roster that won’t get their energy level up for critical games against teams they must beat. The entire culture of the team is in shambles..."

Don't quite agree with your interpretation of Feaster yesterday... As fans we have no idea the offers that were thrown our way... Feaster didn't want to trade picks or prospects if it would hurt the team... Trading a Stempniak for a 4th is not going to help either... I'm glad the Flames stood pat and did not make a move for the sake of making a move

As for intellectual honesty... Feaster has been honest when he noted the fact that we would be below dead last without Kipper.

As for a re-build We can trade Iggy and Kipper to be the next Edmonton but that guarentees nothing... Edmonton is now in the 5th year of their rebuild are nowhere near the playoffs... They probably won't even be able to keep the do have together for much longer...

What kind of move were you expecting?

I'm glad Feaster "did nothing" as you say... Its up to the players to fight for jobs now

we should keep iggy and/or kipper. like you mentioned. being the next edmonton does not work.I think iggy has a longer shelf life and would get less return. Kipper, Jbo, Jokinen, and because he'd get a good return glencross I think may need to be whats put out there to find our starting center. We need play now types, and I think focus on stacking for the 2013 draft. To late to do that on 2012.

I don't think iggy is complacent, I think he's tired of the same conversation. "we'll get you a center","great"...."here's your new winger"

Edmonton will keep there young guns for a very long time, and probably win a cup by the time Calgary realize to do a rebuild, like it or not Edmonton will be better then Calgary as soon as next season, start the rebuild this coming Draft or suffer for many years with the current players Calgary is got, lest wake up before is to late.

B.J.- First keeping the same losing team aqlso gaurauntees nothing. Feaster promised playoffs, didn't do whatever he could to win, that's a failure. Prospects are also not gaurauntees, we have two on our roster today. I was expecting moving sarich or habnnan for a 4th or some such trade. Brining up a young guy to fill that spot. Kipper is greaqt but 16 teams are in the playoffs without him so we are no better off with him.

Alex- Yes good forwards, no doubt. The d is maybe the worst i've seen though, the goalie is terrible. Another team that needs a front office clean out IMO.

numbear- maybe you're right but in either scenario I don't see it as healthy for the team.

I don't know Sane, dont quite agree... I would rather try and do a better job changing supporting cast and keep Iggy and Kipper... with the cap space Feaster has this summer he will get an actual chance with this team rather than cleaning up someone else's mess

I just didn't like the way you accused Feaster of not working hard - he has made a lot of moves and I get the perception that there is a team of guys working pretty hard to turn this team... the day's of all the power in one man's hands is gone

Sure.. Hannan for a 4th seems fair but unless you are part of the Flames org then I don't know how you know that was an actual possibility

hannah and sarich need to stop tripping on the blue line. I think the last 3 games the other team got a goal form one of those two falling down with the puck

Jbo, backland, leiland, and a 2nd for nash? sign suter and go for harding in the summer. If we make the playoffs, trade the 2012 1st for a 2013 1st, so we have two shots at the lottery. Then tell cammelleri to practice face-offs all summer long.

tanguay/cammy/iggy, nash/jokinen/baert, glencross/jones/coumeau, bouma/moss/jackman (horak, stajan, byron on call up).nash covers for the smaller prop sects we have

The one D-man who has been driving me nuts is bouwmeester... His play is so soft I question his masculinity
