Martin Havlat- This guy is the crown jewel of the Wild offseason signings, meant to bring offense in as the team goes through a new mentality. He has been horrible with 7 points in 14 games, isn't he supposed to be a star?

Olli Jokinen- For a guy who is supposed to be a #1 center his 8 points in 15 games is extremely poor, what makes this more confusing is that it's a contract year! Who wants him cheap??!

Eric Staal- Before getting injured he has a whopping 5 points in 13 games, Team Canada? NOPE.

Paul Kariya- Yeah I know he's past his prime but 7 points? He was over a point per game last year before getting injured.(I could also include Boyes, Macdonald, Perron et al but I'd have to list the entire team).

Anze Kopitar- We all knew he was good but this kid is on pace for 130 points!

Brad Richards- If anyone is making a dark horse challenge for team Canada he is, on pace for roughly 110 points right now and playing on fire.

Patrick Marleau- Thought he was declining?? Thought maybe he had served his time with the Sharks and was disinterested? He's on pace for 100 points and he's not even the first line center. (How much will Sutter pay for him next year??hmmmm)

Thomas Vanek- He's not horrible but they are paying a lot for 7 points in 12 games (roughly on pace for 50pts).

Daniel Alfredsson- Enjoying a resurgence since the specter of Heatley being washed away, Mr. Senator is having a fantastic year and showing why he is still an elite player in this league.

Craig Anderson- Quick! Who first drafted this guy?? If you guessed Calgary you'd be right but the Flames failed to sign him so he re-entered the draft... He's making me into a believer and trust me...I wasn't.

Ray Emery- Has 9 wins and a shutout to boot... not bad for a khl goalie!

Jonathan Quick- I have no idea if it's true but his 10 winds has to be the best amongst 23 year old goalies! 23!! He doesn't even peek for another 7 years!

Marian Gaborik- Made the list just for not being injured for the season...what's up with that??!!

Steven Stamkos- tied for 3rd in the league in goal scoring... this kid is serious, good enough to don the Maple leaf this year though?

Vaclav Prospal- Did you think he would have the 3rd most assists in the NHL at this point? I didn't.

Andrew Raycroft- I ask, "which Vancouver Goalie would have a league low 1.60 gga??" you would say, "Raycfroft!"? Nooooo you wouldn't. He has played 7 games now so...goalie controversy...in Vancouver??? Who woulda thunk it!

Yea Staal has put up some less than stellar numbers, but the team as a whole has been sucking. He will make team Canada.

David Legwand and Martin Erat - 7 points combined for $10.25M. Inexplicably the highest paid players on the team.

You know Penner and Bourque are two guys who should have for sure made this list. How mad are the sens about not getting Penner now?

@ geoff_182 : No he won't, his injury killed any of his chances after his slow start. The team is too good for that to happen. Better luck in 2014.
