Quite simply, Roger Daltry and the Boys from The Who (my 2nd favorite band) asked the question that I want most answered by the Philadelphia Flyers tonight...

ahhhh...who *#($*(#)$* are you?!?!

Who are you? Orange Crush

This is the game that decides whether you put your opponent in a headlock and begin to squeeze or they escape the choke hold only to fight another day. The difference between being up 3-1 and tied 2-2 is as cavernous as the difference between Pete Townsend's windmill guitar playing
and this guy

You get my point. Far better to be one game from ending the series than tied at two and heading back to D.C. and Rocking the Red in a best of three. This is the time for the Orange Crush to take this thing to a new noise level and inspire the Boys to victory.

Who are you? Warrior Finn

The playoffs are when heroic things occur, like the warrior Finn, Kimmo Timonen suiting up after being brutalized by Brooks Laich - more on him in a minute - and slammed into the back of the net. As he lay writhing in pain, I zero expectations of seeing #44 back in the lineup for this series. Not only does he get up, where I would have laid there like a 20 pound weakling looking for the stretcher and my mommy, but he has decided to lace em up for this 4th and penultimately important game. Does anyone doubt that hockey players are the toughest of all professional athletes???? When asked about the two handed shove in the back, Timonen replied, "I was in the air flying into the camera, so I knew right away, this is probably going to hurt.” He is a warrior and a dramatic symbol to the importance of this game to the Orange and Black.

Who are you? Brooks Laich

Speaking of Vengence Now! Brooks Laich (*cough*...coward) you better have your head on a swivel. There will be blood tonight. I don't know who, I don't know when...but yes, oh yes, there will be blood. It might not be Riley Cote or Steve Downie facing you mano-a-mano. But just wait, it might be a butt end to the chin from Jason Smith in the corner or an elbow to the side of the head from Scottie Hartnell in front of the net. Again, the who and when is irrelevant, at some point you will pay...dearly. What happened to Timonen, who was going for the net, is inexcusable. He was in a helpless position and you shoved him, head first into the camera support in the back of the net. A classless move by anyone's standards. Oh yes...there will be blood (once the Flyers have a comfortable lead).

Come on tell me who are you, you, you awwww you?

The atmosphere in the Bank Building will be electric tonight. I know the first thing I did this morning was to put on my Flyers jersey...ok, well almost the first thing. I am pumped for this game because I believe the Flyers can and will win in front of the home crowd.

Let's tell them who we are...

Let's go Fly-ers!!!! (did I really just bang my head on the desk 5 times?)

Thanks for reading...

It's gonna be a long , long crazy crazy night. That's right. Go Flyers. I thought this was the worst matchup for your team and it looks like I was wrong. Flyers taking the Caps' sixty minutes of hell gameplan and throwing it back in their faces. Hopefully the B's can right the ship tonite, but if not, I'm fully jumping on the wagon.

Pay back can happy at any time so I would rather see the Flyers wait til next year to get Laich back. They don't need to take any additional penalties. The last thing they want to do is help awaken Ovechkin. Like Richards said, this series is just one goal or hit away from turning on a dime.

GForce Johnson is right! This is gonna be a crazy night. I can't wait. Nice blog SYF. It could be the first period, the 2nd, the 3rd, sometime in game 5. At some point you gotta pay the reaper. Brooks will pay when the chance presents itself. Until then, I suggest he keep his head on a swivel. Kinda like Woodsy the Owl.

Great motivational blog SYF. You should forward it to the Flyers - no way could they not respond to that!! And no, there are none more physical, none more tough, than hockey players. Regarding your dueling string pickers, where's my Hawaiian shirt? (No. I won't wear it. Ever.)

Way to go SYF. Laich does need to "talk" with some of the Flyers tonight. I thought that shot was past the line. Also someone that needs to look around is Shaone Morrison. He delivered a vicious cross check into the back of Hartnell after Briere scored on the powerplay. He was about 2 strides away from Hartnell, watched the goal and just blasted him. Hartnell looked back for the number!

Good stuff...but boys one step at a time. I'm towing the line here because a win in hand is what is needed first and foremost by our beloved team. Payback can be in a form of a win. The players know who they are and like one veteran player said once...Payback does not need to happen the next game. Everyone has a memory...use and let's get a the win tonight.

The guy in the hawaiian shirt looks like Don Rickles. Great blog.

Looking into my crystal ball, where I Can See For Miles, it appears that after that 3rd period lapse in Game 1, the Flyers Won't Get Fooled Again. Scottie Upshall will once again be the Pinball Wizard, careening around the rink hitting anything in white and generally creating havoc. Kimmo will be back to being the man Behind Blue Eyes shutting down AO, also known as Boris the Spider. When The Song Is Over, the Caps will be taking the 5:15 back to DC so the can prepare for the Summertime Blues after Saturday's game, while the Flyers will board the Magic Bus for the second round of the playoffs

I would be more impressed if people in Philly just naturally wore orange to the arena. It's hardly anything to be proud of when the team has to hand out the same t-shirt to everybody in the arena to get them to all wear the same color.I'm not sure that preaching death to your opponents is even remotely classy, but whatever works for you...
