"When will the Bruins return to the Glory Days?"
Bridgeport, CT • United States • 41 Years Old • Male
My eyes didn't believe it at first when I switched over to the NHL Network's on the fly and so the Bruins trade tonight. At quick glance I had assumed the name Chris and the Senators logo that it had to be Chris Phillips. It looked like plan B as Tomas Kaberle's one choice to waive his no trade clause wasn't Boston. But no, Kaberle is still out there and so is Phillips as the deal was for lunchpailer C/W Chris Kelly!!!

With all due respect to Mr. Kelly, don't we have players like this already? Isn't he another Gregory Campbell? I just don't get it. Bryan Murray sure did his best in his statement tonight to make it seem like Boston stole one from him!!!

But I've got a feeling that on the heels of a 3 game slide where special teams aren't so special and the boys just aren't getting enough production from their Center Iceman, this is hardly the answer.

You've got two weeks PC and a 6 game road trip ahead of you to get the ship righted. I sure hope this isn't the last of your moves. If so, I'll be left thinking why didn't we just see what Joe Colborne has to offer down the stretch?

Perplexed yet again...

chris kelly is warrior, ultimate playoff warrior. Sad to see him go cause he was the only one worth every penny on our entire team this year. 2nd round pick is alot to give, but he could help boston get to an extra round, I believe hes that good.

This is what I've heard about him...but to be honest I don't recall him doing much against the B's that jumped out. But you would know him better seeing him night in night out for sure!He was there when PC was with the organization so I'm sure he knows him well too. I trust your judgment and feel your pain....it's been a tough year. Chin up...get some good young talent and retool. And thanks for your comment Paul99!!!

Just because he got Kelly does not mean he'd done. Relax and wait until the deadline

Chris is worth every penny and a 2nd round pick is an even deal. I'm very sorry to see Chris leave our Sens. Good luck Chris I hope you and Boston go far... maybe even the cup.

Well now they have Kelly and Kaberle. This is why you wait until the 28th to post stuff like this, lol.

Thanks RickG83! LOL But it's no fun waiting until things happen to talk about them. Otherwise the season ticket would be a one day pass! LOL
