I could have sexual chemistry with vinegar - Jessica Alba • Canada • 4 Years Old • Male
Ever see the movie The Number 23? If you haven't it's about a guy that's obsessed with the number 23. After watching/reading anything I could get my hands on about the Leafs upcoming season I noticed the number 13 coming up a lot. Check it out:

The Leafs opened training camp on Thursday, September 13th. That day they unveiled their new Reebok Jerseys (13 letters). The Leafs captain Mats Sundin #13 (Born: 13th of February 1971), also known as "Captain Clutch" (13 letters), will try to lead the Leafs deep into the playoffs in his 13th season for the Leafs.

A couple of the Leafs rookies that could possibly make the jump to the NHL this year are: Jiri Tlusty, who was selected by Toronto in the 1st round 13th overall in 2006, and Anton Stralman (13 letters) who is a defensive prospect that has been turning some heads at camp. Hockey Buzz blogger Howard Berger who has covered the Leafs for the past 13 years states that Stralman is “Unimpressive Physically”. Let's hope a few power shakes, and working with the team trainers will allow him to break through and be nice addition for Leafs in the new NHL.

Finally, Leafs Head Coach Paul Maurice publicly stated "We'll make the playoffs and compete for the Stanley Cup". If the Maple Leafs are successful in winning a Championship this year than they would be adding to the 13 Stanley Cup banners that hang in the rafters.

Note: As you can tell by this post I really need the 2007-08 season to have started yesterday. My name is Mike and I'm a statistics/information junkie and hockey pool addict! I hope that the Number 13 is Lucky because the Leafs need all the help they can get!
