Sabres week 2 report.

Another week finished, another 5 pts. The Buffalo Sabres go 2-0-0-1 this week. This team is off to a hot start in the still young season and that is without many key players.
If I told you before the season started that Hecht, Connolly, Gaustad, and Rivet would miss 24 man games to injury in the first 8 and we would still go 6-0-0-2 who woulda laughed. I probably would of.
In the second complete week of the season (Monday-Sunday) the Sabres went on their first western road trip and fared pretty well against 2 good teams. Does this team love overtime games or what? 3 for 3 this week and 5 for 8 on the season. I guess we cannot complain too much since they are giving us extra hockey to watch and are 3 and 2 in the OT.

1st star: Ryan Miller 58 pts
2nd star: Derek Roy 33 pts
3rd star: Drew Stafford 31 pts
Underachievers of the week.

Spacek 6 pts
Hopefully noone filled their fantasy team with all Sabres players this week. You only would have scored about 300 pts total.
Another stellar week for our #1 goalie. Ryan Miller finishes the week with a 1.89GAA and a .936 save percentage. When we played the run and gun style of hockey there were many doubters who thought this guy was overrated. Looks like he just needed his team to play a little defense.
Notable no shows in the point column this week:
Pominville and Kotalik
Stat of the week:
Lydman led the team with a +4 in 3 games
Looking forward to another great game tonight. Please dont disappoint. Lets go Sabes.
