100 point scorers!

Posted 2:14 PM ET | Comments 6
Over the last 3 seasons 100 points or more has been scored by players 16 times.

2 in 2007-08
7 in 2006-07
7 in 2005-06

Alexander Ovechkin – 2
Sidney Crosby – 2
Joe Thornton – 2
Dany Heatley – 2
Evgeni Malkin
Vincent Lecavalier
Martin St. Louis
Marian Hossa
Joe Sakic
Jaromir Jagr
Daniel Alfredsson
Eric Staal

So far this season there are 14 players on pace to hit that mark.

Alexander Semin
Evgeni Malkin
Simon Gagne
Mikko Koivu
Paul Kariya
Patrick Sharp
Andrei Markov
Jean-Pierre Dumont
Zach Parise
Mike Richards
Marian Hossa
Sidney Crosby
Marc Savard
Patrick Kane

Who from this list will make the final cut? Crosby, Malkin, & Hossa are all trying to match their previous feats. Who will be at the top of the list at seasons end?

My prediction:

Semin, Malkin, Koivu, and Hossa break 100. The rest will fall short.
I also think Ovechkin will make this list by the end of the season.

Your thoughts?

I kind of see Semin slowing down....

Does anyone on the Canucks have a shot at 100. The Sedin twins or maybe Kesler?

I think one Sen will... so will a few not on the list. Crosby will too. Semin is possible. Hossa, no way... and Koivu, I doubt.

Id go with Crosby, Malkin, Hossa, Savard, Ovechkin, Statsny, Thornton, and Semin on the cusp

I think Getzlaf makes his way to 100 points this season

Getzlaf certainly is making a good case, especially after last nights performance.
