Tonight's Action

Tampa's going to SPOOK the devils tonight. 4-2 probably.

NYR vs. ATL will be as exciting as the build up was for PIT vs. OTT. Then look what happened, the upper seed played like the upper seed. Kovi and crew, do yer thang!

Buffalo -- Score lots, rack up d'em points, my pool entries are count'in on it. Just another day at the office for Vanek and co.

And then this western matchup between CGY and DET. Really makes me wonder. Detroit's been the consistent team this year although not putting up the same number of points. The flames are:
* CAL are 2-6 in their last 8 Thu. games.
* CAL are 3-8 in their last 11 games as an underdog.
* CAL are 17-39 in their last 56 road games.

How do you compete with that? Iggy pop, you're a superstar, but the home team won all the meetings this year, how can game 1 be any different?

Flame fans will be excited by the game, but Red Wing fans will be most pleased. 4-2 Wingers.

Awesome, you're a stats geek like me. Those Flames stats are very interesting, especially the underdog stat.

The Bolts will win if they can take care of their own end. Not the goaltending, but the turnovers. Much has been made of the goalies but the problem is the defence consistently gives the puck up in prime scoring areas. IF they can minimize this and beat the Devils at their own game, they can and will win (13-4 in their last 17 vs the Devils). If the defence gives up the puck, forget it.

Yup, agree with you on the turnovers. Langebrunner and company wait for those. I want to see Vinny win another MVP... I'm going to tampa if the canucks play the lightning in the finals :)

The Tampa/NJ prediction isn't looking so good... I picked a bunch of NJ players in my pool for a reason... keep putting the biscuit in the basket ELIAS!

And what I said turns out to be spot on...the first half of the game was played terribly by the Lightning, however from the Vinny goal on they were much better. Homer definitely should have stopped one of the NJ goals, but it is what it is. Should be interesting Saturday night.
