Normally around this time of year most Blues fans would feel mad cause we got knocked out of the playoff's by Detroit, Vancouver, or someone else. However for the last five years that has went the other way. One playoff apperence in 5 years and now trying to find a second new owner since the lockout, not since 1983 when the team was up for possible relocation to Saskatchewan, Canada has there been such uncertany with hockey in St. Louis. At least there's progress on the ownership front with Tom Stillman's group being more than likely the new ownership group in probably September, or early October. Until then what will happen here's what i'm thinking/hoping will happen. 1. Keep the draft picks, you have 5 in the first 3 rounds this year this team has been built from the draft up with great picks don't mess up a good thing. 2. Please stop this Zach Parise trade talk the blues will not go after a guy who the devil's won't trade, and I would'nt trade the farm for a guy who only played 13 games last year it's an accident waiting to happen. 3. Go make a charge at Alex Semin unlike Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Distpatch i'm a huge fan of Semin's he will have one year left on his contract, and with the unknown status of David Perron it's worth the risk, and say if Perron's ready by opening night it's a double bonus. 4. Drop all the extra fighters on this team you dont win games by fighting so sorry Cam Janssen, and B.J. Crombeen, this team needs goal scorers not fighters. Finally 5. Fill any holes with veteran role models to lead this team, that way they can show the young guys how to win, and how to lead. Do these 5 things, and making the playoff's should'nt be a problem then once you get in anything can and will happen.
