And Then There Were 3

It was the night of nights. Everyone in town knew that we had to play better, regardless of our victory on Tuesday. The swing game was live or die. No way we could crawl out of a hole going back to the Joe. It was tonight or bust.

We've played consecutively better every game, and believe it or not, I think we still need to get better. Kipper is inhuman. I think he's been the #1 star all 4 games. That's probably unheard of. I knew this was Langkow's game, and meant to write a blog about it, but you'll have to take my word for it. I can't really say enough about what we did right, but as an avid hockey fan, I'm sure you saw for yourself. To summarize, we won all the battles, we forechecked REALLY hard, we had more speed through the neutral zone, and our breakout passes were short and on point.

Huselius' time has come. It will be his game on Saturday afternoon (2 afternoon games in 1 series? can you shaft us anymore NHL schedulers?). We have to find a way to keep this momentum and play like we have the last 2 games, road or not. It's time to shake those mental demons and finally become the team we've been heralded as all season.

I lost my voice tonight. I love this time of year.

I love the Flames.

The NHL caters to the American networks even though the CBC put up $500 million for the rights and NBC paid nothing. We have a right to complain too since that's OUR money as taxpayers. Anyway, another rant for another time lol.If Calgary can get at Hasek early in game 5 that would work to Calgary's advantage big time. Early goals from Detroit in game 1 and 2 really seemed to deflate Calgary, so this time they need to take the crowd out of it early. That's my "daeth's key to success" for game 5.

Really? That's good news I guess, but CBC should really grow some balls and complain about their treatment regardless!
