There are a LOT of rumours going around that the islanders are gonna draft Hedman..... that they're gonna take Duchene, but in all seriousness, as it stands now, the top 4 draft picks will be picked in that order.... the respective teams cant afford not to.

New York Islanders- They NEED Tavares, he may not be a defensman but he is still a strong player, he is also one of the most hyped up draft picks in years, they need to draft him to get people to start comin out to nassau, other wise the Islanders are gonna end up in Kansa City, Hamilton, or Las Vegas.

Tampa Bay Lightning- Victor Hedman fits perfectly into their system right now. Stamkos/Hedman will be a feared duo in a few years when they both fully develop into NHL stars. With aquireing Hedman, the lightning can trade Vinny and get a HUGE return, as early as within the next 2 years, i can see the Lightning being a seriouse playoff contender.

Colorado Avalanche- Matt Duchene = Joe Sakics replacement, Simple as that.

Atlanta Thrashers- For YEARS the Thrashers havnt really found a good solid center for Kovy. But they have found their answer in Evander Kane. Kane is a GREAT player who can dangle, score, pass, fight, check, and defend. he is the physical and skillful presence Kovalchuk needs next to him to make the thrashers a contender. Just look at the end of last year. The Thrashers really started to turn things around at the very end of the season, Evander Kane will be a HUGE jump forward in that process.

These four are just simply the smartest choice for their teams.... if it happens any differently I will be very suprised. This Draft Day has had a lot of hype, but its going to unroll just as everyone expected it to.

I can see Burke pushing into the top four or five. When has Atlanta drafted sensibly?

"I can see Burke pushing into the top four or five. When has Atlanta drafted sensibly?" Very true. Although I think Burke will jump from 7th to 5th for the second time in as many years to draft a Schenn. Bank on it.
