The Red Wings on the Eve of Signing Day

What do the Red Wings need? Well, not much and most of the league will say nothing at all. However, I think they still need a player or two. Last year proved how much it helps to have a few players that a hungry for a run at the Cup. Drake and Cleary pushed the locker room and where instrumental in getting the team to play even harder. So, who and what should the Wings look to during this Eve of Free Agent Day?
Today on Defense the Red Wings locked up Andres Lilja for the next two years and they will sign Chelios, the ageless wonder. That leaves Brad Stuart up in the air. Kenny Holland has a short term and long term contract on the table for Stuart to think about. This leaves me to think that if Stuart signs, then the Wings will trade one of their young defenseman and possibly a goalie prospect or an offesive prospect. My guess would be to Buffalo to try and pry Miller away and make Miller the keeper of the future for the Wings. If they don't sign Stuart, the Wings can then play Meech, Quincey or Ericcson. Not a bad position to be in on Defense.
On Offense, I do think they need one more player. I am positive they will sign Filppula since he had a lot to do with bringing in Veille Leino from Finland. I would like them to bring in either a big center, Sundin, or a nice wing like a Micheal Ryder type guy. Next year they will have to re-sign a few guys like Zetterberg, who said that he will stay in Detroit as long at Illitch is the owner. Offense is the one part that I think Detroit will go after.
All in all, it should be a good day on July 1st as I believe the Red Wings will only get stronger which is scary for the rest of the league.
