The Sabres were unable to finish off the road trip with a victory, losing 4-3 to Toronto on Saturday night. Buffalo, who were 17-1-2 leading after two periods, allowed the Maple Leafs to score two goals in the third period to win the game.

Buffalo outshot the Leafs 42-29 on the night, but were unable to tie the game in the latter half of the third period. Despite the loss, the Sabres finished the seven game road trip with a 4-2-1 record.

The Sabres got off to a quick start against Toronto. Mike Weber took a wrist shot from the point that found its way past James Reimer to put Buffalo up 1-0.

Former Sabre Clarke MacArthur scored his 20th of the season after he fired a shot that went off the post and into the net to tie the game at one.

The Toronto power play has not scored against Buffalo in its last 41 attempts. Ryan Miller made sure of it when he robbed Joffrey Lupul of a goal in the opening period. Lupul got a hold of a rebound and had a point-blank shot, but Miller made a pad save.

Miller stopped Tyler Bozak on a breakaway to keep the game tied. The Leafs had the Sabres pinned in their own end and Bozak was left all alone in front of the net. This time, Bozak beat Miller, and the Leafs took a 2-1 lead.
