Sabres Leave Ottawa With Two Points
This was the final meeting of the season between these teams, and Ottawa has won the first five. Ever since the brawl back in 2007, the Senators have had the Sabres number.
Buffalo is fighting for the second spot in the Conference, so a win tonight was important. These two teams could also meet in the second or third round of the playoffs. Going 0-6 against the Senators wouldn’t give Sabres fans much confidence going into a seven game series.
In the first period, Drew Stafford took a huge hit from Andy Sutton and was on the ice for a while. He left the game with an upper body injury and did not returned. There has been no work on the extent of the injury.
