"GO! SENS! GO!"

Ottawa's winning goal came off the stick of Anton Volchenkov. Not only is this an unlikely hero, but instead he puts the proverbial nail in the coffin. The Penguins are now forced to win three out of four games. The Senators now have a 3-1 lead in the series, with a 2-1 win in Pittsburgh.

Gary Roberts was the lone Penguin to show determination, although some would say he got away with some questionable hits. The kids, with the exception of Jordan Staal, were non-existant. For the Senators, Mike Comrie (if they don't resign this guy...) came up with another highlight reel play to set up Volchenkov, for the winner. Ray Emery in goal played an extremely solid game, putting to rest he can't handle the pressure. This game showed nothing but character on the part of the Senators. If they close this series out, as I highly suspect, on Thursday; this team has a real sense of commitment on their side.

BE RED! BE PROUD!

I wouldn't say that the kids didn't show up tonight. Talbot, Armstrong, Malone and Crosby fought for loose pucks and created chances. The Ruutu, Petro, Malone line was running house on the Sens in the first and second periods but dissapeared as the game was tied in the third. Good win for the Sens though.

Good blog. I agree with mwiles19 though, Malone, Ruutu and Petrovicky were awesome out there when they were on and Sidney Crosby was just that Sidney Crosby.Ray was great this game. I was starting to worry that he wasn't REALLY getting tested and that if the Pens really started motoring he'd have some problems but great saves on Malkin and Crosby on semi-breaks and that one save in the third when it was tied (not sure who the Pens guy was) saved the game for the Sens.

Thanks fighting ferret. I honestly can't recall hearing the kids names when it counted, in the 3rd period. Emery was awesome, the team was awesome. To steal both games in Pittsburgh is no easy feat.
