A quick update for you all...

There seems to be some growing interest in the Blues' front office in signing one of either Jamie Langenbrunner or Tomas Fleischmann.

Langenbrunner's interest is obviously because of the connection he and General Manager Doug Armstrong had when both were in Dallas.

Langenbrunner, as I mentioned in a previous blog, would provide some veteran experience as well as be a good third-line winger with some scoring ability.

Fleischmann played in only 45 games last season because of a blood clot issue. He still hasn't been technically cleared by doctors to resume on-ice activity, but it's only a matter of time till he is. The issue with blood clots is the same one as Minnesota Wild winger Jed Ortmeyer has been dealing with for the last few years. As long as he stays on the doctor's medication he is prescribed, he will be ok to play.

Fleischmann's best season came in 2009-10 with Washington, where he tallied 23 goals and 28 assists in 69 games played.

More to come,

Blues have any interest in Anthony Stewart? Maybe playing with his brother might finally turn him into a real player.

I've heard his nae being tossed around, but there's minimal interest at best at this point.
