This is my take on it.....This is going to get nasty and its a distraction neither can afford. Crawford is currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings have the worst record in the NHL at 12-20-2 and this issue im sure will be dragged out in court and will play havoc on the rest of the season for the Kings. The Kings are 15th in the league in offense which isnt a surprise due to Kopitar, Cammalleri, Brown and Frolov. However they are 29th in the NHL in GAA (Goals Against avg.) which isnt a surprise really to me since i think LA lacks any #1 goalie on their roster. Sorry went off on a tangent for a moment there. I grew up in Canyon Country/valencia area..Lived there for 18 yrs and so thats why this pisses me off more and more. If he did in fact order this vicious attack then not only do i think he should be banned from hockey for an extended period but he should also be involved in the suit himself.

Now on Bertuzzi....Obviously he isnt putting up the numbers Anaheim had thought he would. So far in 21 games he has 4 goals and 6 assists. The back breaking of all of it is that he is on pace for 23 points. This from a guy that is a former 45+ goal scorer not 5 yrs ago. At 32 your numbers should not be going down like that. I fear that this season or next will be his last in the NHL if he cant pull it together. The lawsuit he is involved in which now has turned into a conspiracy of sorts makes me think that if this goes the distance and Moore does get $30 Million like he is asking for Bertuzzi is done. These kinds of cases can drag out for some time. He will be a constant distracting for the Ducks to keep around and will either be bought out or waived.

Definition of Conspiracy
# a secret agreement between two or more people to perform an unlawful act
# a plot to carry out some harmful or illegal act (especially a political plot)
# a group of conspirators banded together to achieve some harmful or illegal purpose

Does the definition above fit the actions of Bertuzzi and Crawford?

Again this is only my thoughts on the current situation. If you have different views thats fine. Post them in a civil way.

Bertuzzi is looking for someone to blame and take the focus off the videotape. Crawford's the convenient target. I'd love it if Moore's attorneys turned up evidence that this is a roid rage incident. Bertuzzi's career track has always looked suspicious to me. Underachiever with the Islanders-goes west and develops into a top power forward and never misses games-constantly hurt and out of the lineup all the time.As his trainer was quoted as saying a few years back, "He can just walk by a bench press and gain muscle mass."Yeah, right! :O)

Um, no. It does not fit as a conspiracy. Do you honestly think that coaches never say things like Crawford is alleged to said. And, judging by your handle, idrawblood, you like the rough stuff in hockey. You can make Bertuzzi to be as much of an out control monster as you want but the real problem is the culture in the NHL of which his action was an outgrowth. Do you really think it's so drastically different from what we've seen so far this year?

Took awhile to find the link. I remember reading that and thinking, "He's juicing."http://espn.go.com/magazine/vol5no21bertuzzi.html

I sure lots of coaches over the years have said lots of stuff, like go out and kill that guy, However no way the coach is actually asking his player to commit murder. There is no way the player would take the coaches statement literally and go out and do exactly that and then be able to use the defense well coach told me to. LOLI am sure Crawford wanted him ruffed up a bit but no way he wanted to see him permanently injured.

Your definition of conspiracy might not apply to the Bertuzzi-Crawford situation, but it sure explains why any post that articulates people's dissatisfaction with your abuse of power as a mod gets deleted, even after you were fired ... I mean, quit.
